My body has been very very good to me.
She's been there for me from day one. She supports me in whatever I do, whether it's good for her or not. She's put up with a lot of abuse over the years and she's still strong.
Sure, she has her weaknesses. I like the look of the eyes but the quality of vision has been poor for almost 40 years, and now the lenses are stiffening up so I have to use reading glasses most of the day. And this recurrence of bursitis or tendonitis in the left shoulder is aggravating.
It's not my body's fault that I'm fat. It's mine.
When I eat "normal" amounts of decent food and exercise regularly, my body responds by burning fat and building muscle, and I lose weight. Even after all these years of binge eating and sedentary habits, she's still ready to be strong and fit.
My body has done right by me, and now I will return the favor.
